Shinyei Chilled Mirror Hygrometers
Chilled mirror systems are the most accurate products to measure humidity for laboratory or industrial use. They employ a fundamental method of measurement, which directly measures the amount of water vapor in the sample gas. They do not infer humidity from changes in the properties of some other material as do all capacitive or resistive humidity sensors. Instead they cool a mirrored surface until dew or frost forms on it, and then they measure that temperature. That temperature is by definition the "dew point" which is a direct measure of the vapor pressure of water in the air (gas).
